Candice Marie Holt refuses to believe that any teacher or student has to be left behind.

Her teaching journey began in a remote First Nations community in Manitoba, where she quickly discovered that academic preparation alone could not prepare a new educator for every classroom reality. Her students taught her the importance of genuine connection, clear expectations and purposeful structure. These lessons became the foundation of her ability to create calm, effective learning environments throughout more than a decade of teaching across Ontario, Manitoba and Nunavut.

After witnessing capable teachers struggle with growing demands, burnout and insufficient practical support, Candice founded Clockwork Coaching and Consulting for Teachers Inc. She recognized that by preparing and supporting educators, she could positively influence far more students than she could reach in her own classroom.

Today, Candice is a Teacher Recruitment and Retention Consultant and New Teacher Readiness Coach and Trainer. With more than 15 years of facilitation experience, she has delivered training and professional learning for the Elementary Teachers’ Federation of Ontario, the University of Toronto’s Master of Teaching program, ApplyToEducation, school boards and other education organizations. She also currently coaches new and early-career teachers, equipping them with practical strategies for classroom management, planning, professional boundaries and well-being.

Candice is known for bringing clarity, practical solutions and meaningful impact wherever she goes and to everyone she serves. Her mission is to help education organizations recruit, prepare, support and retain effective teachers while empowering educators to build confident, healthy and sustainable careers that improve the lives of generations of students.
